من به هر جمعيتي نالان شدم جف من به هر جمعيتي نالان شدم
جفت بد‌‌‌حالان و خوش‌حالان شدم 

man be har jamʿiyati nālān shodam
Joft-e bad hālān o khosh hālān shodam 

In every gathering I lamented
I became a companion to those in a bad state and to those in a good state.

مفتاح شو مفتاح را دندانه شو دندانه شو

qofli bovad mayl u havā benhādeh bar delhā-ye mā * miftāḥ show miftāḥ rā dandāneh show dandāneh show

Whims and desires are a lock placed upon our hearts * Become a key, a key! Become the key’s edge!
