you talked of trees
that morning
it was winter you talked of trees
that morning
it was winter and the trees

I said
(remembering Sūrah Ibrahim):
a good word is like
a good tree
with
firm roots
skyward branches
fruit bearing
later you almost wept
and inside I kept repeating
good words
Arabic words
and became firm
in faith in our mother's
winter journey from

My eyes burn. My tear ducts are salty The redness. My eyes burn. My tear ducts are salty
The redness. The soreness. Grief most gorgeous

The walk away blows all talk away
It's enormous inside where the war is

Crack the kernel. The heart is a beautiful bruise of purple

Reaching us beyond the speed of light, this is the Reaching us beyond the speed of light, this is the speed of love. As photons brace the extremity of its transition, depicting nothing close to a thousand words, pictures are painted across the fragments of the broken and become endless galleries of mercy and, passion and hope. Each drop of ink trickles across my tender soul, coloured in love that I could spend a thousand years gazing upon. Or 1400 years or beyond. Because this is heart to heart. My internal candle converts to a roaring flame with just the utterance of his name - that some dare say but with heads lowered and hands held upon chests.
